I just received my copy of “Patchwork Professional,” a European magazine that focuses on quilting and fiber art. I was one of the featured artists for the second edition of their 2016 magazine.
My piece “Mommy and Me” arrived safely in Taiwan. It will be a part of the exhibit “Protect the Earth’s Environment” held at the National Tainan Living Art Center, Tainan City, Taiwan, from April 30 – May 29, 2016. I will post photos from the exhibit after the opening.
Two of my pieces, “Her Story” and “Reflecting on the Past,” are being exhibited in Herndon, Virginia with the 2015 Sacred Threads exhibit.
This exhibit focuses on the connection between quilts and their makers and the emotional experiences that may be a source of inspiration to others.
The Fiber Artists of San Antonio present their 40th Annual Juried Exhibit at the SAY SI Art Gallery in San Antonio, Texas! The pieces accepted into this exhibition represent current trends in contemporary fiber art forms as well as traditional techniques. Over 70 pieces were selected by Barbara Schneider, juror and internationally-known textile artist.
My piece “Convergence” will be exhibited as part of this exhibit.
My Art Quilt ‘Arthropoda’ will be auctioned as part of the Studio Art Quilt Associates 2014 benefit auction.
It was also featured in the SAQA Art Quilt News page as as example of thread-painting which is becoming a current trend in SAQA’s benefit auction artwork.
I was so excited to find out that my work has been published in the Spring 2014 issue of the SAQA Journal page 19.
