My piece “Our Journey” made it’s debut at the U.N. Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on March 22, 2016.
This exhibit highlights the importance of water as a precious source of life and its impact on the lives of women and girls around the world.
Here are some interesting facts about water collection according to water.org: http://water.org/water-crisis/women-children-facts/

Women and girls often spend up to 6 hours each day collecting water.

Women and children bear the primary responsibility for water collection.
In Africa and Asia, women and children walk an average of 3.7 miles a day just to collect water.
My piece “Mommy and Me” arrived safely in Taiwan. It will be a part of the exhibit “Protect the Earth’s Environment” held at the National Tainan Living Art Center, Tainan City, Taiwan, from April 30 – May 29, 2016. I will post photos from the exhibit after the opening.
I just found out that my quilt was accepted into the International Quilt Association’s Fall Judged Show,
“Quilts: A World of Beauty,” in Houston, Texas.
This is a huge honor and I am so grateful to have been selected.
My Art Quilt ‘Arthropoda’ will be auctioned as part of the Studio Art Quilt Associates 2014 benefit auction.
It was also featured in the SAQA Art Quilt News page as as example of thread-painting which is becoming a current trend in SAQA’s benefit auction artwork.
I just found out that my quilt ‘Nesting’, which is being exhibited as part of Studio Art Quilt Associates 25th Anniversary trunk show, has been selected to become a permanent part of the collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. This is a huge honor and I am thrilled to have been selected to be a part of this prestigious exhibit.
