“Water is Life” Quilt Exhibit

My piece “Our Journey” made it’s debut at the U.N. Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on March 22, 2016.

This exhibit highlights the importance of water as a precious source of life and its impact on the lives of women and girls around the world.

Here are some interesting facts about water collection according to
Women and children spend 125 million hours each day collecting water.
Women and girls often spend up to 6 hours each day collecting water.
Women and girls living without a toilet spend 266 million hours each day finding a place to go.
Women and children bear the primary responsibility for water collection.
In Africa and Asia, women and children walk an average of 3.7 miles a day just to collect water.


Taiwan International Quilt Exhibition 2016!

My piece “Mommy and Me” arrived safely in Taiwan. It will be a part of the exhibit “Protect the Earth’s Environment” held at the National Tainan Living Art Center, Tainan City, Taiwan, from April 30 – May 29, 2016. I will post photos from the exhibit after the opening.

New Exhibit!

Two of my pieces, “Her Story” and “Reflecting on the Past,” are being exhibited in Herndon, Virginia with the 2015 Sacred Threads exhibit.

This exhibit focuses on the connection between quilts and their makers and the emotional experiences that may be a source of inspiration to others.





Fiber Art Exhibit at SAY SI Art Gallery in San Antonio, Texas

The Fiber Artists of San Antonio present their 40th Annual Juried Exhibit at the SAY SI Art Gallery in San Antonio, Texas! The pieces accepted into this exhibition represent current trends in contemporary fiber art forms as well as traditional techniques. Over 70 pieces were selected by Barbara Schneider, juror and internationally-known textile artist.

My piece “Convergence” will be exhibited as part of this exhibit.

FASA Exhibit 2014

“A Texas Experience”




My quilt is among those that will be exhibited as part of “A Texas Experience” fiber art exhibit at the Copper Shade Tree Fine Art Gallery in Round Top, Texas. The exhibit will run from October 22 – November 2, 2014, so if you’re in the area please stop by and check out some amazing quilts.


El Toro

My quilt “El Toro” received an award at the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum in Athens, Tennessee as part of the “Quilts: Stories told in Fabric” Quilt show.

This exhibit runs from September 6 – September 27, 2014

I’m Sooooo Excited!!!

I just found out that my quilt was accepted into the International Quilt Association’s Fall Judged Show,

“Quilts: A World of Beauty,” in Houston, Texas.

This is a huge honor and I am so grateful to have been selected.

First Friday a Huge Success!!!

The turnout was amazing and everyone loved my work.

It was a wonderful evening!

For anyone who would still like to see the exhibit it will be on display until the end of May, but hurry because there are  only a few pieces left.

The Shades of Texas Quilt Show 2014 – Killeen Texas

The Shades of Texas Quilt show was held this past weekend in Killeen Texas. Three of my quilts were exhibited and were privileged to have won awards. Below are some pictures from the exhibit.
